I haven't posted for three months. I know. I'm going to try to bring this blog back. It's just hard when all the news I have usually once comes once every two months or so.

Today, I got news on Paragallo.
The 177 horses seized in a raid of an upstate New York farm last year were malnourished, a prosecutor said Tuesday at the start of the trial of the farm's owner, prominent Thoroughbred breeder and owner Ernie Paragallo, who was banned from racing.Excellent. I hope he's banned for life.
Michael Howard, a lawyer for Paragallo, said he will present documentation that the horses were properly cared for.Uh huh, where are you going to get that? Photoshop doesn't work that well. Do you honestly think whatever documentation you have can negate documentation that proves 177 horses were mistreated? This isn't a case of five in a hundred, this is a case of almost TWO HUNDRED horses being improperly cared for.
Two days after the raid, Paragallo told The Associated Press he didn't intend to harm any of the horses and blamed their mistreatment on ``mismanagement.''Your "mismanagement" caused a lot of pain to almost two hundred horses. You can't tell me that's an accident. Even if someone else WAS responsible for caring for the horses, it's still YOUR responsibility as their owner to make sure that job is being carried out. Something like this does not happen overnight as a lot of people seem to imagine.
